So am I the only one who thinks those Rangers jackets were really messed up looking? Hope that doesn’t become a thing other teams do because it blows my mind that someone did that on purpose…

I have to say, whoever outfits the Bengals does a pretty great job. They almost always wear contrasting socks and even when they wear the same jersey and pant color they never go mono. Very refreshing in today’s NFL, especially for a team with a new Nike refresh.
The Bengals seem to do the best they can with what they have – wished they’d not gotten the striping on the white pants so wrong.
I’m a big fan of the helmet, so I’m not thrilled with the Siegfried & Roy/zebra color rush…I consider the black/black/orange combo their best look (and their mono-black isn’t all that bad either).
Is the NBA Scorebug going to be of a teams usual colors? Or will the scorebug match all of the City, Statement, Earned, or whatever other colors the team may be wearing in that particular game?
I saw an article on it that mentioned that the colors (particularly the “swatch,” the background color) will match what’s being worn on the court. I think the example given was if Golden State was wearing their blue uniform, that the swatch would be blue.

I’m definitely *not* a scorebug guy (other than I want to be able to quickly discern the important stuff), but having the actual team swatch match what the team is wearing is an absolute MUST. I still don’t understand why it’s seemingly impossible for the graphics guys to make a “white” swatch for a team actually wearing white. Doesn’t seem too difficult, but apparently there are reasons.
So this seems like an improvement. I just hope they can do something similar for the other sports.
Absolutely. I’ve always heard that they can’t do white, but I’ve never heard why. Seems pretty simple to me…
Overall, this change is a welcome one as I’ve been screaming it into the void for years. It had gotten especially bad in the NBA where some teams rarely wear their normal colors for a majority of a season.
As much as it pains me to say it, it *SHOULD* match whatever the team is wearing that night. If I see a team in pink and “WSH” is in red, white and blue, it doesn’t tell me what team is in pink. If you match colors to nickname or city abbreviation, the connection is easier to make.
That said, let’s get back to team colors, decide either team color at home or white at home, and move on…
On the LA28 design, the “2” and “8” are clearly different fonts. The 2 is angular, the 8 is rounded. Was that intentional? Looks hideous! If that is supposed to represent the diversity of LA like the changing “A”, it comes off looking more like a ransom note.
