- The Red Sox did not wear their famous green St. Paddy’s Day unis yesterday, as they had for the previous 18 seasons. Previous reporting had also said that the team would wear their green jerseys this spring, and that they would be unaffected by MLB’s new diktat limiting teams to four unis. So what gives? The reason is buried in this article by Boston Globe Sox beat writer Alex Speier: “According to a team spokesperson, Nike no longer produces the green jerseys for teams.” So it has nothing to do with the (asinine) new “4+1” rule, it has everything to do with Nike. Great.

Unless that Baylor guy has a 3 on the back of the jersey on the inside, it wasn’t inside out (see 4 second mark of the clip). The ref made him take his undershirt off.

First of all, the quote is not in the linked article. Second, does that mean no teams wore green jerseys yesterday? Wouldn’t that be bigger news?
The Phillies and Blue Jays didn’t; the Dodgers and Cubs didn’t.
Mets and Marlins didn’t, either.
