  • The WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings and Kamloops Blazers and the OHL’s London Knights wore their winners of the “Your Team Your Jersey” contest, a design competition some WHL and OHL teams are running. The contest’s website lists the date each winning design will be worn. Additionally, you can see Blazers G Matthew Kieper participating in the annual major junior tradition of still wearing the pads from his previous team after being traded. (From Wade Heidt)

  • The PHF’s Buffalo Beauts wore pride jerseys on Saturday.
  • The J-pop group Atarashii Gakko! performed at a Red Eagles Hokkaido game, a team in the East Asian men’s league Asia League Ice Hockey, and wore the team’s jerseys. “Their normal outfits are school girl uniforms with long skirts,” says Jeremy Brahm.

  • England: Manchester United center-back Lisandro Martínez was wearing a bandage around his head during their men’s game yesterday, a few days after he was elbowed in the head. (From Max Weintraub)
  • England: After three Women’s Super League games this weekend were postponed because of frozen pitches, including one that was stopped a few minutes after it started, players, coaches, and others repeated their calls for the undersoil heating that is standard in high-level men’s leagues.
  • England: One of the WSL games that was not postponed saw Reading manager Kelly Chambers receive a framed No. 150 shirt for reaching 150 league games in charge.

  • Scotland: Dundee United revealed and wore a mint/cyan-colored third shirt at home for a men’s Scottish Cup game against the University of Stirling on Saturday.
Tennis
  • Victoria Azarenka has been wearing Paris Saint-Germain shirts before and after her games at the Australian Open, the most recent picture I could find being after her match on Friday. She and her seven-year-old son are PSG fans.
