  • In more Spurs news, the club mentioned the dates when poppy patches will be worn this year for Remembrance Day.
  • Here’s the design for this year’s Premier League winter ball. It should probably appear this weekend because it’s used between the European time changes.

Yep. I’m about 99.9% sure this is just their regular navy — the use of IG filters on everything (plus dark lighting, ominous backgrounds, etc.) has made it very difficult to ascertain colors in uniform reveals these past few years. If this were truly a *new* black helmet/jersey, UVa would have let that be known. Perhaps Jamie can confirm it is, indeed, just their regular navy hat/shirt…

Yeah, if it was something new we would have heard about it way before/in other ways besides the weekly uniform reveal.

It appears that MLB has gone back to embroidered WS patches in lieu of the recent use of a plastic patch. As a baseball game used uniform collector, I’m in favor of the change.

Wait, LeBron & Rich Paul met because Rich Paul just happened to be rocking a Houston Oilers jersey at the airport? Is LeBron a uni-watcher??

“Wrexham released a statement saying F Paul Mullin couldn’t wear a pair of boots he was planning on using for an upcoming match.”

    – Good to see Wrexham get a mention in the ticker, although I really thought you would have referred to him as Super Paul Mullin. ;)

Officially, the school academic and athletic colors are red and white. Black didn’t make an appearance even as a trim color until the 1990s, when the BFBS trend started. So yeah, BFBS.

Yes … and no. Yes: They’ve incorporated black as a trim color and it has been incorporated into a number of uniforms and gear in different sports. No: Official colors are still Red and White.

South Carolina is in a bind as far as branding. “USC” is more likely associated with Southern Cal. “Carolina” is more linked with UNC. I always thought “UofSC” was at least distinctive, if a little clumsy.

Far be it from me as a Kentucky fan to defend Tennessee, but they did have black uniforms back in the 1920s I believe, so it’s not exactly BFBS

No. But when those future Final Four dollars are on the table …

Anyway, just what the NFL needs … More stadium sterility.
    -C.

Any money brought in by MLB ad patches should be earmarked solely to re-hire the people laid off as a result of COVID and the lockdown.
