Alas, my love you do me wrong / To cast me off discourteously

greensleeves.jpg

So here’s a little something: In last Friday’s ticker, I mentioned that Arizona State shortstop Andrew Romine had been wearing green sleeves (as shown at right) a few days earlier, while the rest of the team was wearing maroon. Probably a holdover from St. Paddy’s Day, I opined.

But then I got a note from ASU spokesguy and longtime Uni Watch supporter Randy Policar, to wit:

It has nothing to do with St. Patrick’s Day. Since the beginning of the season, one member of the team has been assigned the green undershirt for each game. The player who is assigned it must wear it directly under the jersey, no exceptions. The meaning of the sleeves is known only to the student-athletes.

Hmmm, intriguing. I wrote back: “How is the assignment made each game? Like, does the last guy who wears the green get to pick the next guy, or is it a team vote, or what? Does the shirt get washed each time, or is it some kind of skank-o-rama contest?” That brought this response from Policar:

Before every series, the green undershirt appears in a player’s locker. No one is sure who assigns it, but the players think it is Coach [Pat] Murphy. Anyways, the player must wear the green shirt directly under their jersey for the entire series. The first series we wore our sleeveless road jerseys was in Auburn, and our CF Jarred Bogany was assigned the shirt. When he came out for infield/outfield, he had the green sleeves under his maroon undershirt. The players told him he had to switch it, so he played the entire game with green sleeves under the sleeveless jersey, just like Romine did on Wednesday.

I asked Murph who assigns the shirt, and his response was, “What green shirt?” (with a smile, I might add).

My road roommate, Steve Kirkman, handles the laundry on the road (with assistance from me, since folding game jerseys is actually quite thrilling for me), and we do wash the shirt, so it’s not collecting any flies.

Policar (who recently a very nice ASU St. Paddy’s Day cap to Uni Watch HQ) hinted to me that he knows a bit more about this than he’s letting on, but he’s keeping the details under wraps. So for now we’ve got a team ritual and a mystery, wrapped up in the world’s greatest color.

Jackie_Robinson.jpg

Can You Believe Ron Hodges Once Wore That Number?: Yesterday I asked if anyone knew more about exactly when Marc Sagmoen changed his uni number from 42 to 37 — was it immediately after MLB announced that 42 had been retired in honor of Jackie Robinson, or did he wear the number for a day or two before switching? Reader Jeff Backschies, who attended college with Sagmoen at Nebraska, sheds a bit more light on the subject: “Sagmoen and I had common friends in college, and both being Seattle kids in Nebraska, we kinda knew one another, so I followed his post-Husker career. I remember pretty clearly that he had worn 42 at least the day it was retired, after the announcement.” So even if Sagmoen switched numbers the very next day, it sounds like he wore 42 at least once in the number’s post-retirement era.

Meanwhile, the roster of players who’ll be wearing 42 next Sunday is filling up. In addition to the names that were originally reported (Griffey, Bonds, Cameron, Randolph, and the whole Dodgers team), the list now includes Coco Crisp, Dontrelle Willis, Gary Matthews Jr., Jimmy Rollins, Derrek Lee, Gary Sheffield, Josh Barfield (along with C.C. Sabathia on the bench), and Dmitri Young (an interesting choice).

One other Robinson-related note: When news of the whole 42 thing broke on Wednesday night, the AP put a bunch of old Jackie photos out on the wire. The weird thing is, Robbie’s uniform number isn’t visible in any of the photos they chose (one of which is a little undignified to boot).

Uni Watch News Ticker: The long-threatened crackdown on Barry Zito’s glove (first reported here) has finally come to pass. ”¦ Next NBA team to do the Noche Latina thing: the Spurs, who’ll be wearing the flags and jersey patch on Monday. Additional pics here (with thanks to Uni Watch intern Vince Grzegorek, who’s also found another athlete who wears cap pins: LPGAer Paula Creamer, who usually has a pin on the side of her brim). ”¦ Reprinted from yesterday’s comments; Dice-K took the mound yesterday wearing an orange bracelet. But he was told to remove it, and it ended up in his pocket (great job on the screen grabs by Anthony Memme). Plus he had some odd-looking undersleeves, and that big belt buckle. ”¦ Todd Krevanchi notes that the Basketball Hall of Fame’s latest class of inductees were given honorary jerseys the other day. ”¦ Umpire Jim Wolf wore a ski cap again yesterday (with thanks to Uni Watch cold-weather umpire headwear specialist Mike Comeau, who has now documented this phenomenon for two days running). ”¦ Speaking of cold-weather attire, several of the Devil Rays were doing the convenience store stick-up thing last night (even while batting). ”¦ Good article here about Creighton University pitcher Pat Venditte, who wears a special glove because he pitches both left-handed and right-handed. ”¦ As some of you are aware, there’s a fun little controversy brewing regarding Frankie Rodriguez, who definitely appears to have something on his underbrim, a spot he happens to reach for quite a bit. To get the full story, start here, then go here, and then here. ”¦ The Coyotes retired Dale Hawerchuk’s number last night, and he got to wear that super-cool Jets jersey. ”¦ Pink?! Did he lose a bet or what?

This might be a reach for some (most) people but for some reason the first thing I think of when I see the link is football uprights. you know with an explosion under it or something. anyone else see this?

What’s with the Winnipeg under the Jets? I don’t remember them having that as part of their logo.

The special glove the Creighton pitcher wears reminds me of Greg Harris, a former Red Sox pitcher (among his teams). Harris wore a similar glove when he threw, because he too could pitch with either hand. I’ll do some photo research to find a shot.

I believe Paula Creamer is wearing a ball mark on the bill of her cap. It’s a magnetic ball mark stuck on a clip that slides on to the bill.

Daisuke wore last season’s Nike jersey under his uniform, making for the interesting sleeves. You can tell by the “Red Sox” on the collar.

Personally, I think of a spur but I can see what you’re saying too.

Also, GREAT find on the special glove worn by the Creighton pitcher. I’ve never seen anything like that…way cool!

That was their link, and the link. Usually when I look for team merchandise, I go with the city I’m closest to, so when I was growing up, it was Winnipeg.

I agree with GR. I believe Paula Cremer and alot of golfers wear the clip thing on their hats. It holds a ball marker in place and is usually contains the logo of a golf course, corportation, or charity.
They are sold at nearly every golf shop in the country now. We sell them where I work.

Speaking as someone who works in the visitor’s clubhouse of an MLB team, I can say that F-Rod’s hat is definitely one of the most ‘doctored up’ hats out there. We’re constantly handling players hats and his has always been extremely noticeable. He’s not the only one of course, but his was always one of the most predominant ones out there.

I was in the Orioles team store the other day and they have regular B-Ball hats with a ball marker magnetically attached to the brim. Who cares, more pictures of Paula Creamer please.

Here is a link that gives you a closer look at them.
    link

They are more popular among amateurs than professionals in tournaments.

Also usually every tournament will give the players and players badge, clip,or small pin or something that identifies the players and allows then the proper access to locker rooms, dining rooms, inside the ropes sort to speak. It is always interesting to see which players you can spot them on. For instance Tiger and Phil probably would never wear them because everyone at a golf tournament would presumably know who they are.
I will try to find a picture of someone in the masters sporting one. Maybe Wetterich, the first Cincinnati native to lead the Masters.

Did anyone else catch the College of Charleston vs. The Citadel baseball game last night? Both teams wore throwbacks. CofC wore a pinstriped hat with a very short brim, bumblebee socks, and jersey with the lace-up action in the front, with pointed collars. Very old school. The Citadel also wore a jersey with a lace-up front and knee high socks. It was outstanding. I can’t find pictures, however.

The Hawerchuk item led me, after click a few links, to link. What’s relevant to this blog is this:

    link

I think it’s a pretty snazzy design, all-in-all, but there’s a certain retro cool about the link.

The pic doesn’t show it, but the umps wore throwbacks, too. All but the homeplate ump wore straw hats, off-white shirts, and ties. They looked like this:

    RE: Cremer’s hat adornment

It may be a LPGA player’s pin too. I know many PGA players started wearing a similar pin over the last few years to show their support for the PGA.

    Hi

I was watching the Reds v Cubs game on MLB.TV yesterday and the Cubs broadcasters where holding a Text poll asking if the fans would miss the blue alternate jersey but I missed the end so did anyone see the outcome how did the fans vote?

    Les

I was flicking around last night and stuck with the Pens-Sens game for awhile. The numbers on the Sens jerseys are HUGE, way too comic style for me…

I think you’re fighting a losing battle as lots of guys have numbers in the 80s and 90s now.

    ^_^;

Seriously, though, it seems to me that those numbers are just too thick. If they were the regular block style that Ottawa used to wear, they would look fine even at 12″ high.

I suspect that “K-Rod” is using the one “foriegn substance” pitchers are allowed to use on the baseball… rosin! ESPN’s Orel Hershiser pointed out that Rodriguez picks up the rosin bag before every pitch he throws. The white of the rosin would logically show up better against the new black underbills than against the old grays.

The purpose of the rosin bag is to allow the pitcher a better grip on the baseball; the illegal “spitter” (Vaseline, K-Y jelly, etc,) does the exact opposite… making the ball act in an “unnatural” manner. In cold weather, some pitchers have used pine tar (illegal because it “defaces” the baseball) for the same effect.

You don’t hear many accusations of “spitter” or “scuffball” anymore (Kenny Rogers notwithstanding), probably because MLB throws balls out of play as soon as they get any kind of mark on them. (Pitches like the split-finger and the “cutter” legally do what the old-fashioned “spitter” used to do… look like a fastball out of the pitcher’s hand, and then break down.)

On the Masters.org site you can see several players wearing the masters pin/clip thing. I can’t link from there, but you can see Henrik Stenson with it on his hat. Joe Durant as well.
Look on the picture gallery, more from day one.

the two-armed pitcher guy’s father has been ordering 700 dollar gloves with two thumb holes directly from muzuno since his kid was 8 years old.

On TV, I thought perhaps Dice-K’s undershirt was like the Nike System of Dress, with Red Sox players/historical stats in blue, then blending into red. But I ended up seeing the undershirt, up close at a store last night. It’s an Under-Armour-esque shirt from Nike, a gray body, with red sleeves and a red mock turtle neck. The sleeves have bits of blue checks blending into the red, not unlike last year’s controversial undershirt (tho far less shiny).

Oh, and the best part of last night’s shopping voyage AND this year’s new Spring Training jerseys? Picked up the previous Red Sox spring training jersey for a mere $25!

So are the #42 games tonight, on 6 April? Hopefully pictures will be posted.

Carlos Lee is going to wear 42 for Houston too. He spoke about it briefly in the Houston Chronicle ysterday.

Does anybody know what makes baseball umpires decide what they are going to wear, as in the black sport coat, the black shirt, and the blue shirt. I know it has nothing to do with the league affiliation, because i have watched Tiger games, and it always varries

I just couldn’t buy a jersey with my own name on it. I just couldn’t do it.

However. . .EA Sports used to have a program that would make a JPEG to use as a wallpaper for Windows out of your name, # and favorite team jersey. I know I’ll never find it, but I’ll look for a link.

    K-Rod…my bad.
Yes, he is using rosin, I’m not saying he isn’t. But I know that in the past couple years, his brim has always had huge amounts of pine-tar on it.
Like I said, he’s not the only one that has a sticky brim, but definitely has one of the ‘stickiest’.

and for the record, I’m not saying he should be punished, pine-tar is everywhere in the game, but it’s just interesting to hear these people claim that it’s just rosin.

I’m really looking forward to the Dodgers game on April 15 when they all wear 42. LA is my favorite team and this is a very unique way to honor Jackie Robinson. Living in Texas I don’t see them on TV much (and rarely hear the sweet sweet vocals of Mr. Vin Scully).

Here’s a photo I managed to grab of him warming up yesterday, you can sort of see the writing on his collar, but unfortunately it didn’t get a lot of sleeve detail since I was a ways away from him and this photo was cropped. Unfortunately, Royals stadium staff was weird about people taking photos of him, even though it was 45 mins prior to the game and there was hardly a massive crowd there. Anyway, it was too cold for me to want to take any other photos (36 degrees, yikes). As a Boston transplant in KC, I was very pleased with the result.

I met a Brazilian woman once who said, “I’m not Latin, I’m Brazilian.” Latin America is, really, North America from Mexico and all points south. Once the South American continent is reached, it’s South America.

Yeah, I definitely can’t speak for Brazilians since I’m not one, just deducing based on language, and I’d imagine they don’t want to be lumped in with other nations, because they have a very unique national identity.

Actually, I checked the US Census site and they use the term “Hispanic or Latino” as a category and use this explanation:

“People who identify with the terms “Hispanic” or “Latino” are those who classify
themselves in one of the specific Hispanic or Latino categories listed on the questionnaire—”Mexican,” “Puerto
Rican,” or “Cuban”—as well as those who indicate that they are “other Spanish, Hispanic, or Latino.” Origin
can be viewed as the heritage, nationality group, lineage, or country of birth of the person or the person’s
parents or ancestors before their arrival in the United States. People who identify their origin as Spanish,
Hispanic, or Latino may be of any race.”

And this does nothing to clear up whether Brazil is Latin (I’m pretty sure all Central/South American are considered Latin America, but that’s just my opinion).

Yeah, we can go on and on about this one….but my main reasoning is that with the player movement today it’s not enjoyable for me to spend the big bucks on an authentic jersey and then have the player bolt 2 years later. I’m dead against customizing a jersey with your last name, or buying a jersey with a player’s last name (such as the Yankees) even though they don’t have their name on the back of the jersey.

Football (and basketball) is kinda tricky because the number is the dominant feature on the shirts. Having a jersey with no name is kinda goofy, but having a jersey of someone who leaves the team also makes shirts obsolete. And you obviously can’t get a jersey with no number, like with baseball and hockey, because that’s beyond stupid. So if one were to spend money on a nice shirt, I’d suggest getting your own name. One baseball and hockey, I’d leave it blank.

The general rule of thumb for Latin America is if they speak Spanish and are in America, South, Central or North, it’s Latin America. Brazil usually falls out if the category, but if its used by people of the United States (America is the name of the continent, not just one country…) it refers to all countries south of the border.

This is the prefect philosophy to have. I’m lucky enough to be a fan of a team (the Cubs) that often wears jersey with only numbers on the backs, so my game-used #15 jersey acquired years ago served just as well for Julio Zuleta as it did for the man who actually used it, Chuck Cottier. Last season #15 was Scott Moore so the fortunes of these digits have fallen a bit, but that just gives me a new player to root for!

I’ve played for amateur teams with jerseys that have surnames on them and find that I can’t go out in public wearing them. It feels weird that any person passing by will know your last name. My last baseball team had great dark blue jerseys with silver lettering, and I’d like to unthread my name from the back, leaving only the #7, but then the shirt would look all unbalanced.

How do you folks feel about wearing a jersey of someone who’s younger than you are? As a kid I never thought twice about wearing a professional sports jersey, but when Mark Prior joined the Cubs I couldn’t bring myself to buy even a T-shirt with #22 on the back; it just felt somehow… pathetic. I can’t explain it!

BTW, as for Bill Simmons and whether his joking about women is in good taste or not — I think most guys inder the age of about 40 have been told that “all men are pigs” and variations thereof so frequently that I’m willing to give someone on the other side of that fence a pass. Rule of thumb: if you’ve heard it said about your own gender/home country/ethnic group, and you weren’t frothing at the mouth, you can turn a blind eye when it’s said about someone else.

The difference is that he does it all the time in his column. Sports is such an overwhelmingly male-dominated business to begin with, there is no need to reinforce the ‘no-women’ allowed stereotype. It is NOT the same when women say, “All men are pigs” (which I don’t think is true, anyway) because especially in sports, women have very little power.

I completely agree. I am not in to wearing jerseys myself, but when I see a guy with a jersey of an athlete that is much younger than him it looks pretty pathetic.

One Jersey that I would wear…Baby-blue Royals pullover #16 Bo Jackson.

I believe that for the MOST part a fan should wear blank jerseys to root for the team, rather than a player who could potentially leave.
That being said, I have a few jerseys with names on the back: (Saints #9 Brees, Arsenal #15 Fabregas, and England #8 Rooney) and a few without (Australia soccer blank, USMNT blank, Brown U Hockey blank, and a fake Man U from China that’s blank).

I would only be comfortable with a player who retired from the only team they ever played for. If Smoltz retires a Brave I would consider that as a jersey, with someone like Clemens you look stupid no matter what team it is because it dates the jersey immidiately.

I LOVE Mike Rappaport, i think hes the best actor in a sitcom today.

Paul I know that many of you are fans of the Memphis Redbirds and the way they wear their stirrups so I am repringitng this from the Commercial Appeal, the local newspaper here in Memphis.
“For years the St. Louis Cardinals had imposed a rigid set of rules on their players-no card playing in the clubhouse, no facial hair, socks had to be worn high and with their stripes visible-but that was about to change….The biggest changes at AutoZone park are more subtle than that…It’s the sight of uniform pants being worn low across the shoe tops, per today’s baseball fashion, as opposed to just under the knees.”
And you know what happened? They lost their home opener. I guess that the move didn’t help the guys feel more comfortable as a team.

Good rule – that would be broken 1000 times every Raiders home game. You should see how many middle aged guys would wear jerseys of Woodson (Charles now of Green Bay, not Rod) and Gallery, and of course Moss.

My exception: I have an Elton Brand jersey because I’ve met the man and I watched him play in college.

Dmitri Young is the only African-American position player on the Nationals roster right now, which is perhaps the most obvious reason why he chose or was selected to wear #42.

As it stands, the Nationals only have four African-American players on their roster: Young, Nook Logan (CF, disabled list), Jerome Williams (SP) and Ray King (RP). They also have one African-American coach, Mitchell Page (hitting).

First, my link. I’ve been playing for a while since I got tired of the politics in local men’s baseball, and I actually like playing with the girls in co-ed… mainly because gals that can swat a deep shot are awesome in my books.

That being said, I don’t want people freaking out about The Incredibles jerseys. I actually bought the jerseys from the local Disney Store, and have the manager’s consent to create more if necessary. I don’t know how deep that runs through the country or the continent in terms of licensing, but the manager thinks the jerseys are a fabulous idea. Anthony? I don’t want to get sued by Disney. :o)

Long story short… we won the best league in the city last season wearing the Incredibles logo, including knocking off the two perennial powerhouses on our way to the championship.

As for names on jerseys, I am against your own name or customization, but appreciate those that have or do not have names. My concern is whether or not you’ve bought the real thing, or bought a replica. If you want to be part of the team, but an authentic. Real fans don’t buy replicas.

I thought I saw on this board that the Dolphins would be modifying their jerseys very slightly so that the navy drop shadow wasn’t so big, to make the numbers more legible from the press box. However the “new” 2007 Joey Porter jerseys they’re advertising are still the same old style. Any answers???

On the personalized jersey/player’s name on the jersey tip, two items…

    1. Last year, people were buying Sammy Sosa Orioles jersey for pennies on the dollar on eBay. They would then remove Sosa’s name and thus be representing the new #21: Nick Markakis.

    2. The only jersey I’ve ever purchased with a player’s name on the back was last year when I finally got around to buying a new Washington Redskins jersey. I bought #53, which is Marcus Washington’s number. So I’ve got a Redskins jersey that says Washington on the back. I thought that was pretty smooth on my part (plus, I’m a big guy, and I couldn’t go strutting around wearing a Santana Moss jersey when it looks like I ate the guy for lunch).

That’s a smart move. Player gets traded, and the jersey still makes sense (city name on the back).

Another good thing about jerseys without names on it is if a player leaves the team, the jersey will then represent whoever gets that number next. A Roger Clemens #22 Yankee jersey became a Robinson Cano #22 Yankee jersey (up until this season at least).

Speaking from experience, a lot of people are happy that Cano is 24. A ton of Yankee fans still have the 24 from Tino’s days. My brother is hoping that Clemens signs though, cause he’s stuck with a 22 and no player to represent. I, on the other hand, am the happy owner of a 43 (Scott Proctor)

Anyone know where i can get a white Florida Gators basketball jersey. The old style, like they played in, not the system of dress ones.(To brag to an Ohio State fan.)

I tried to post about the Basketball Hall of Fame inductee jerseys a couple of times, but for some reason the post won’t take. So I’m making one last try, html-free:

You know what’s funny about the basketball HoF individual inductees getting 07 jerseys? NONE OF THEM are getting inducted for playing basketball! Sure, Phil Jackson was once a player for the Knicks, but he’s getting in for standing courtside in a suit, not playing on the court in a jersey. The six individual inductees are 5 coaches and a referee, which means that ref Mendy Rudolph is the only one that is getting into the Hall for what he did on the court while wearing a uniform.

The seventh Hall of Fame inductee is not an individual, but the Texas Western team featured in the movie ‘Glory Road’. It seems kind of silly for multiple players to be awarded the same jersey, doesn’t it? Besides, they’re awarding a jersey with a team name on the back to a team that didn’t have names on the back. Well I guess they couldn’t have given it to the coach of that team, because Don Haskins is already in the Hall of Fame. This kind of thing is why I find it amusing when they try to give honorary jerseys to people that didn’t play the sport, or to groups.

How about Johny Estrada’s high stirrups — “the old school like” according to the Cubs’ broadcasting crew — tonight against the Cubs? looking solid out there…

He does look very sharp–as do the throwback uniforms. But that ’82 patch is just about as unreadable as it gets.

And what really looks sharp is the Cubs’ 6-run first inning–an inning that can only be described as orgasmic.

Not only does Floyd’s C on the helmet look way too high, a bunch of other players look like their C’s are way low…almost touching the red.

Why is one ASU player allowed to wear a different undershirt than the rest of the team? Does the NCAA not have the same rules (or definition of “uniform”) as other leagues? In the minors, the t-shirt of a sleeveless jersey is considered part of the jersey, so it must be the same color on every player. In the majors, I believe MLB designates certain shirts that can be worn under sleeveless jerseys.

    P.S. Nice socks.

Minna, they had something like 173 minutes of snow delay (not all at once, thankfully), and called the game when Byrd was at 5 2/3 innings. That’s right, one out–one STRIKE–away from a legal game and no hitter. But they called it after a Mariner said he couldnt see from first, and the Mariners skipper talked to the umps again. Sports is such an overwhelmingly male-dominated business to begin with, there is no need to reinforce the ‘no-women’ allowed stereotype. It is NOT the same when women say, “All men are pigs” (which I don’t think is true, anyway) because especially in sports, women have very little power.

He has the right to say whatever he wants; I have the right to loathe him.
Minna,
Im not sure if you know this or not but bill simmons wife also writes a column for ESPN, albeit its usually about the bachelor or someother nonsense but she writes nonetheless…. and guess who encouraged her to do it? Mr. Simmons himself.. I dont like him for a different reason. Both he and his wife dislike Mike Rappaport (From Boston public, and currently the war at home) who lives in their neighborhood…. I LOVE Mike Rappaport, i think hes the best actor in a sitcom today.
Patrick, I do know it. I don’t like what she writes, either. Again, it just reinforces the stereotype that all women care about are frigging reality shows, celeb couples and shopping. Bah!

Twins game was canceled tonight because of inclement weather in Chicago. Double bah!
I personally never saw this in a Bill Simmons column, but it could be due to his blatant New England/Boston homerism. Still think he’s a decent writer as sports writers go though.

Minna, this is for you: link

I know you’re a fan of black unis, so enjoy.

link is a very rough screencap.
That just looks like a ball (or two) smacked him in the chest, and the paint is rubbing off. It doesn’t appear that it is NFL related.

It’s no secret that there’s a boatload of fakes all over the internet, whether it’s shoes or jerseys, but most of the time they’re subtle enough that you can’t tell from the page. However, someone on eBay is selling a bunch of rip-offs on there and it’s a complete joke. Just look at the thing, nothing on it says legit. The numbers are horribly wrong and the material used isn’t even mesh. How are things like this legal, especially when they use a logo that’s licensed?

I checked out his store and every jersey has the same number and letter font. These jerseys are obviously being made for profit only. The reviews are great though, so someone is happy with the results.

As for the legal issues….the seller is located in South Korea. My guess would be that the NFL either doesn’t know, which isn’t likely, or for some reason doesn’t care that proprietary items are being used.

Bottom line is that they look like crap. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing one. I wouldn’t even let my dog wear one.
I bought a jersey like this a year ago, and the quality was so poor, I have never worn the thing. I ended up going to the store to buy a real one. Here’s how I got burned, the picture the guy used was from the nflshop.com website, so of course it looked good. When I got it, the “5” on the jersey was completely wrong, and the numbers were really skinny compared to the normal jersey. I got taken big time. I knew it was fake, but I thought it was going to look similar to the real thing, but it didn’t.

My friend bought a fake Terell Owens jersey off ebay and her was burned also. The name “Owens” on the back was upside down!!! He thought about taking out the stitches and fixing it himself, but he said “Screw this, the seller should fix it”, so he sent it back to the guy, but the guy wouldn’t reimburse him for shipping it back to him! Can you believe that?
