I have no evidence to back this up, but I feel like Buck never wears the Spring Training hats.
I mean my man is still wearing stirrups so he definitely is a uniform guy
I don’t recall him wearing them when managing the Orioles.
I love the pretentiousness of “The Carolina Panthers have embarked on a new era here in 2023” in the Panthers Wire release. Oh really? And what exactly defines this new era? The fact that you’re redoing your crappy uniforms? If so, then yes, I’m sure all of sports are excited about this new era. Because the old era was so memorable.
Sheesh.
For the life of me, I can’t get the hatred against the Panthers uniforms. They have worn them since day one (when they were widely praised) and the only factor letting them down has been the manufacturer. All they need is detail work.
The helmet stripe treatment has always bothered me, but really that’s it.
Agreed.
I had (actually still have) those pencils. But I never had that case/packaging. My dad got them through the school he taught at. I got a new one every week until I had the entire NFL. There was an MLB set too (slightly different design).
Yes, I’m a weirdo and never actually used any of them.
Don’t start using them now; the erasers are gonna be as hard as rocks.
I have those pencils, unused as well, and can confirm that the erasers are rock hard.
From the Six Nations Rugby last weekend. Both Scotland and Italy have a primary Blue Kit (although Scotlands is more Navy than the Italy Blue. Solution? Scotland pulls out its awesome lavender/blue/lavender alternates…as the home side.

In test rugby it is traditional for the home team to change where there is a clash. This year also saw France change at home to Scotland while Italy changed at home to France. It actually works out nicely in that the schedule means every year each of the three blue teams will wear their change kit once.
It’s not a tradition that is kept at club level though (or not nearly as much at least). Still though, it’s one of those nice “rugby is a game for thugs, played by gentlemen” kind of things in that the onus is on the home team to be a good host and not inconvenience their guests.
The opposition to the new Pullman, WA logo, from one of the councilmembers (Pullman being the home of Washington State):
“(Councilmember Macoll) said that while she recommended the design firm for the project, she ended up being surprised and disappointed with the finalized logo. There are no features of WSU on the logo, and Macoll said that WSU alumni would be disappointed in the logo and not recognize it as being symbolic of Pullman. ”
Seems like a bit of a miss…
Could just be me but the color of the hats for the Marlins looks off. Maybe it’s just the lighting? Of course the inability to keep a uniform centering is bothersome.
Also, not really looking forward to a redesign of the Panthers uniforms. I liked their uniforms minus the light blue tops and black pants. They redid their word mark a few years ago and ruined it.
The “F” on center on the Marlins cap is definitely the way it should be.
I have always wondered why the Panthers stripes are halfway down the sleeve on the retain jerseys?
