  • San Jose State will be adding BFBS unis later this month. The wordmark on the teaser image is based on the one used by the official San Jose tourism website, and appears on a mural downtown and on the back of the San Jose Earthquakes’ jerseys. (Thanks, Lloyd)
  • LB Keshon Artis will wear Frank Beamer’s No. 25 for Virginia Tech this weekend. (From Andrew Cosentino)

  • Here’s a short video about the guy who designed the Pitt script. (From our own Jerry Wolper)
  • Reader Benji Boyter says he picked this up on a Clemson message board: “If Wake Forest wears their gold helmets when hosting Clemson on Sept. 24, that would likely mean that the home teams for all of Clemson’s road games would wear gold helmets this year! They’ve already played at Georgia Tech, and their remaining road slate is WFU, followed by Boston College, Florida State, and Notre Dame.”

  • LIV golfer Ian Poulter is participating in the PGA’s BMW Championship whilst wearing a logo for the Majesticks, a team from LIV’s July event at the Trump course in Bedminster. It might be an innocent mistake, but considering how much Poulter talks about how he’s not talking about the LIV/PGA feud, I doubt it.
  • The BBC puts their logo on the inside of reporters’ umbrellas, so when facing the camera it appears correctly, rather than backwards like with the adjacent Sky News umbrella. (From Seth Rorabaugh)

Did anyone else notice Jalen Ramsey wearing a hat with his personal logo on the sidelines last night? link I assume that’s not OK per NFL rules right? Fine incoming?

Actually, Jackson was a coach for the A’s and was there that night.
I was also there, but the connection with the movie flew right over my head.

I do remember him typically preening and showing off in the receiving line.
Not enough mustard in the world….

About the ice for Carolina Hurricanes. Also the hurricane warning flag design within the red line. Not sure if that is new?

I was at that O’s/A’s game in 1991. I didn’t know in advance that the Queen would be there.
After I saw her, I ran to a payphone (remember those?) to call my parents and told them to turn on the game. While they were dating, my Dad took my mother to the Maryland/North Carolina football game in 1957, also attended by the Queen. They talked about that day fondly many times. It was especially a thrill for my mother, even though she hated football.

When I see the originality and cleverness of indigenous guernsey design in Australia, I wonder how long it will take for American Indian graphic designers to take on designing the uniforms of teams in the Mountain Time Zone, like the Denver Broncos and Arizona Diamondbacks.

I haven’t paid attention to Cracked since they dropped their podcast a while back, but what happened, do they not have copy editors anymore? That Grab Bag article was *terribly* written.
