You know, that might have been the one I ticked. Either way it was ID’ed as a Diwali sweater.

Prince Albert Raiders jerseys are an interesting case. I like the idea of having a similar front logo but with 3 different elements.

Can anyone else think of any other teams and occasions where the front jersey crests/logos were the same theme but slightly different for a game or games?

Thought of doing something similar way back when I was running a beer league hockey team. If we got new jerseys, I was going to suggest changing the team’s name to “Farm Team” and having a different animal on the inside of the crest for every player.

I do remember recently seeing a team wear different jerseys for different periods in a game but cannot recall who it was. May have been ECHL?

Did anybody else begin reading the item on the Canucks fans tossing their sweaters on the ice in protest … and hoped it was because of their recent ad patch announcement?

Sigh. Oh well, a guy can always dream.

RE: Bills stadium. Between that one and the recently released Titans’ plan they all seem to be pretty generic looking on the inside these days. While I understand there is a certain strategy to how you lay out the seating to maximize ticket revenue, etc, I think with all the money they pay the architecture firms they could create something unique that helps you identify the stadium when you are watching on TV.

Looks aside, they are building it to a capacity 10,000 seats fewer than I-still-Call-It-Rich Stadium. In a football-crazed market with Buffalo, they go increase capacity by 10,000 and still leave people at the gate. You’re not going to price out the people; if anything, they are going to cost themselves revenue by shutting out loyal fans.

Bruins are on the road all next week, so they probably figured they should get ahead of the game with their Hockey Fights Cancer activities instead of waiting so long.

Hey Buffalo Bills. This isn’t college football. Quit with the blue over blue already because you look better with blue over white. WTF?

Pete Carroll is right. All NFL fields should be grass. It’s safer and the tech exists to grow a grass field anywhere now.

That infographic is funny. Altuve and (more so) Harper are depicted as if they are pitchers based on their respective stances.

The linked article on the Nuggets’ City uniforms is a bit confused.
The Denver Rockets’ team colors were orange and black, and then columbine and bright yellow. They never used red until they were renamed. The Rockets influence is in the block lettering; the colors reference later eras.

I’d be interested to see the Bills introduce their red helmets and then go with red jerseys, blue pants, and white socks.

The ABA Denver Rockets first wore orange and black and later change to purple and yellow (and one season in lavender) so I don’t really see how the leak has any degree of homage to their early years in the ABA. They didn’t wear red until they changed became the Nuggets and that was only as an accent color.
