  • The Twins will unveil their new uni set next Friday, Nov. 18. Based on that graphic, it looks like they’re ditching the headspoon.

I’m not sure any of the current Twins jerseys have a headspoon anymore. On Facebook, they also have a short video clip of Byron Buxton in a different sort of navy, almost midnight blue jersey. We’ll see!

I do believe there is red headspoon on the rarely worn 4th alternate navy blue road “minnesota” jersey. Otherwise, it’s never really featured prominently on the Twins uniforms. Hopefully this means Kasota Gold is gone forever. Also, getting 1970’s home whites vibes from the twitter post. This has to be an upgrade although I was hoping for pinstipes.

I could be mistaken, but I don’t think the Twins have ever had a headspoon. Collar trim, yes (the most recent set had the navy, red, and gold trim).

Yea I had to think twice. Maybe they meant collar trim? I don’t see it on the sneak peek but it looks like they’ll have sleeve trim and a darker navy. Hopefully red script, navy trimmed in red isn’t Twins IMO.

Confused by the use of a royal blue and lighter shade of red for the Twins announcement banner but everything else in the image is a navy and dark red. Seems like a terrible time to use different shades of colors unless they are planning to use those colors on an alternate uniform?

That royal blue and red has been used on a lot of their marketing graphics over the past 2-3 years (along with some black and yellow I believe) so I would not look too much into that.

The Kasota Gold has almost certainly been eliminated from the color scheme based on what I have seen and read. That itself would be a major upgrade.

It’s possible they may have a pinstripe home alternate.

With 5 players scheduled to appear at the unveiling that could mean each player wears a different uniform.

    Home white
    Home Pinstripe Alternate
    Road
    Road Navy Alternate Minnesota/Twins/TC
    Home Navy Alternate Twins/TC

City connect uniforms to be unveiled next summer and will not be worn until the 2024 season

The font on the lettering for “November 18” shows me that could be a preview of the new script logo. Unless i’m wrong, but to me it feels like the font used in the new TC on the hat that paul leaked a couple werks ago.
