    “The Knicks have tweaked their shades of blue and grey.”

    Because when I think Knicks, the first color that comes to mind is… grey.

    A detail that had been placed in the back seat with the Golden Knights ‘ announcement. The road uniform seeing a change. The grey pants replacing the black pants. Black has been fully removed as a trim colour on primary uniforms.

    It’d be funny if that Arkansas concrete company got a cease & desist from both Arkansas & Arkansas State.
    I’ve never been in position to name a company or create its visual identity, but I am pretty certain I wouldn’t be so lazy about it.

    I don’t think NHL helmets have ever been drawn from as wide a palette as this season. The teal helmets of the Sharks are added to anthracite, black, navy blue, royal blue, red, green, gold, and yellow, Once there were purple helmets (L.A. Kings) and plum (Mighty Ducks) but those have been relegated to the odd throwback. Brown and orange buckets exist, just not in the NHL.

    Gotta wonder what John Mellencamp thinks of that trademark filing. Though, he might just be bemused… on the other hand, whoever owns the rights to his music distribution might have different thoughts regarding the application.

    As they say on the interwebs, “I am not a lawyer.” But I suspect the precedent of Apple Corps vs Apple Computer applies in this context. Two different industries, so no direct competition.

    Jeff Ament, the bassist for Pearl Jam…who was on University of Montana’s basketball team for his freshman year, tells the story of when he got his first ‘big’ check from Pearl Jams success, he bought Sonics season tickets.

    Eddie Vedder specifically addressed the Sonics at the show (Not a great show, but still PJ)

    07. Superblood Wolfmoon
    {Ed apologizes for how being so angry with Oklahoma City getting the Seattle Supersonics and hopes that they can be forgiven. He says he is glad The Sonics went to a great city and terrific people running the team.}
